about

The instrumentals for this track took longer then most. I had changed the vocal and piano melodies around many times to get it where I was going. I was going for a John Lennon feel, and the message came out a bit morbid; exploring the idea of not wanting to be left alone after someone dies

lyrics

Verse 1
Tragedy, would you take my hand
And lead me to the promise land
There’s sun shine in your photographs
but not much left in the aftermath

Chorus 1
I don’t know which way to go
No direction down below
Oh no, it’s true
If you’re leaving,
would you take me, take me too

Verse 2
Gravity, would you let me down
That sinking feeling, beneath the ground
If you try to dig your way out now
You won’t learn why, you won’t know how

Chorus 2
I don’t know how long I’ll go
One direction, winding road
Oh no, oh no
How did you get in this jam
Smart question, stupid plan
It’s true, it’s true
If you’re leaving,
would you take me, take me too

Chorus 3
I don’t know which way to go
No direction down below
Oh no, it’s true
If you’re leaving,
would you take me, take me too
If you’re leaving,
would you take me, take me too
